Thank you for joining our community, where we seek personal development and growth through a mindful approach to nutrition. We believe that overeating often stems from unaddressed triggers and traumas that can keep us trapped and distracted from developing ourselves in other areas, especially our purpose.
The Struggle with Overeating
For us, overeating was a borderline addiction that took years to overcome. We've tried various approaches, including diets, restriction, pills, and medication, but none of them proved sustainable.
While some of the methods we tried were not inherently bad, it was the underlying mindset that affected us. We held beliefs like, "I need my foods to be happy," "I need to diet to look good," "I don't care how much I eat or what I put in my body," and this kind of thinking not only impacted the way we viewed food and ourselves but also kept us bound. We would overeat, enter a food "coma," and become useless for the rest of the day.
A Shift in Mindset
We both felt that our lives were wasting away, and we grew tired of this cycle. It took us 19 years to see food differently, and believe it or not, it was a course on financial mindset that helped us realize how ill our mindset was about many things.
Our Approach
We've created a journal with questions to help you identify your triggers and create awareness about why, when, and what you eat, with the hope of getting to the bottom of the problem. Our goal is to dig into the mindset behind it all and, together, help you find the foods that work best for you.
We are not about dieting; we are about much more than that. We want to help you change the way you look at food so that it does not control you, but rather, you take control. We do not care what you eat – no disrespect to you! What we care about is that what you eat gives you the energy you need to fulfill your purpose.
